About Jones Environmental, Inc.
A Legacy of Integrity and Expertise
Founded in 1937 by Fred and W.D. Jones in New Orleans, Louisiana, the company specialized in installing and servicing underground storage tanks and piping. In 1953, the brothers incorporated as Jones Brothers Company (JBC) in Bossier City, Louisiana, evolving into a full-service petroleum marketing equipment and UST specialty company known for high-quality, cost-effective service.
By the early 1980s, new federal environmental regulations created a need for specialized expertise. Recognizing this, W.D.’s sons established Jones Environmental, Inc. (JEI) in Shreveport, Louisiana, expanding the family’s legacy into environmental consulting and remediation services.
For more than two decades, JEI has proudly maintained its Response Action Contractor (RAC) status in Louisiana, a reflection of its integrity, reliability, and commitment to high-quality environmental work. Today, JEI remains well-staffed and fully equipped to handle a broad range of environmental challenges for both public and private sector clients.
From 1937 to today, JEI continues the Jones Family tradition of honest work, technical expertise, and responsive service. Our history shapes our mission—to provide dependable, cost-effective solutions that protect both our clients and the environment.
